About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer who can step in and hit the ground running. In this role, you will work independently to produce accurate, code-compliant 3D sprinkler system layouts, hydraulic calculations, and submittal packages for a wide variety of project types across Texas, Florida and nationwide. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically sharp, and capable of managing their own project workflows from initial design through final plan approval.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of dedicated fire sprinkler design experience; must be able to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, AutoCAD Fire Grid, or equivalent design software.
  • Strong time-management skills, high attention to detail, and the self-discipline to excel in a fully remote setup.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Level II (or higher) in Water-Based Systems Layout is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience and proven design capability will be strongly considered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D fire sprinkler layouts, riser diagrams, and fabrication drawings for wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems using industry-standard design software.
  • Perform fast, precise hydraulic calculations and water supply analyses to ensure optimal system performance and code compliance.
  • Generate accurate material stock lists and assemble complete submittal packages for clients and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Coordinate spatial layouts with architectural, structural, and MEP designs to resolve field clashes prior to fabrication.
  • Apply a strong working knowledge of NFPA standards (NFPA 13, 13R, 14, 20, etc.) and local building/fire codes to all drawing packages.
