About The Position

Impact Fire Services is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and eager-to-grow Assistant Project Manager to join their Fire Sprinkler Projects Group. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to launch a career in construction project management while learning a specialized, high-demand trade. You will work alongside experienced Project Managers, Foremen, and Coordinators to support fire protection projects from start to finish, gaining exposure to planning, field operations, procurement, financial tracking, and closeout. The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning and execution of fire protection projects under the guidance of experienced project and field leaders, ensuring assigned projects stay organized, documented, and moving forward by assisting with coordination, communication, procurement, cost tracking, and closeout activities. This role is designed to build the technical, operational, and administrative skills needed for long-term success in project management.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or a related environment.
  • Competency with the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn the Company’s information systems applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and professional appearance.
  • The ability to fit in with our culture of teamwork.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Interest in construction, mechanical systems, or fire protection.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.

  • Prior fire sprinkler experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers with day-to-day planning, coordination, and documentation.
  • Ensure field teams have current drawings, RFIs, submittals, and schedules.
  • Assist with permits, vendor pricing, material deliveries, and fabrication releases.
  • Help track costs, labor, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings, coordination efforts, and closeout activities.
