The Fire Spark Watch is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment during and after hot work operations, including welding, cutting, grinding, torch work, and other activities that may produce sparks or ignition sources. This role is critical in preventing fires and protecting personnel, equipment, and the facility throughout the duration of the outage. The Fire Spark Watch must remain attentive at all times, understand emergency response procedures, and have the authority to stop work if unsafe conditions exist.
