What You’ll Learn & Do You’ll start by working alongside our experienced technicians in the fire shop, and will gradually take on more responsibility as you build your skills. Inspecting, testing, and servicing fire extinguishers; Inspecting and testing fire hoses; Servicing life-saving appliances; Ensuring timely and quality completion of work orders; Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities; Monitoring parts inventory and equipment maintenance requirements; Following all safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job; and Participating in on-call/call out emergency service as required. What We Provide (Tools, PPE & Equipment) All required PPE and access to calibrated meters/equipment Clear job information before you arrive — no being sent in blind What You Bring Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work (automotive, heavy equipment, industrial, electrical, or similar backgrounds all translate well) Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to follow procedures Curiosity and a willingness to learn — you ask questions and take pride in doing it right Ability to lift, work on your feet, and use hand/power tools safely Valid driver’s license Nice to have (not required): coursework or experience in automotive, heavy equipment, industrial mechanic, electrical, or fire protection technology Don’t have fire shop experience yet? Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work (automotive, heavy equipment, industrial, electrical, or similar backgrounds all translate well)
  • Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to follow procedures
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn — you ask questions and take pride in doing it right
  • Ability to lift, work on your feet, and use hand/power tools safely
  • Valid driver’s license
