Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on technical work (automotive, heavy equipment, industrial, electrical, or similar backgrounds all translate well)
  • Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to follow procedures
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn — you ask questions and take pride in doing it right
  • Ability to lift, work on your feet, and use hand/power tools safely
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or experience in automotive, heavy equipment, industrial mechanic, electrical, or fire protection technology

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting, testing, and servicing fire extinguishers
  • Inspecting and testing fire hoses
  • Servicing life-saving appliances
  • Ensuring timely and quality completion of work orders
  • Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities
  • Monitoring parts inventory and equipment maintenance requirements
  • Following all safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job
  • Participating in on-call/call out emergency service as required
