This skilled position involves troubleshooting and repairing installed fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites. The technician will diagnose problems, perform service and repairs, and follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures using technical manuals and bulletins. They will service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers’ Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell, and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications. The role requires excellent customer service skills, consistent communication with staff and customers, and the ability to complete service acknowledgments via smart phones and laptop computers, obtaining customer signatures upon completion. Participation in an on-call rotation and mentoring other team members is expected. The technician will provide customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items, acting as a trusted advisor to provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service. Other duties as assigned.
