About The Position

DiVal Safety Equipment is seeking a full-time Fire Service Technician for its Green Island, NY headquarters. This role involves servicing fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and eye wash stations, ensuring high-quality workmanship and professionalism within the New York State Fire Service Division, primarily in the Albany, NY area. Training will be provided for this position. DiVal Safety has been a leader in the Fire, EMS, and Industrial Safety markets in New York for over 40 years.

Requirements

Strong self-motivation, with solid confidence level
Excellent communication skills, always representing DiVal Safety in a professional and positive manner
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
No prior service experience necessary, training is provided
Available to travel including overnights as deemed necessary based on workload scheduling
Ability to lift 50 lbs.and spend the majority of your day on your feet or walking
High school degree or GED
Valid driver’s license and acceptable vehicle record

Responsibilities

Focusing on safety – safety training and direction must be always adhered to, reporting any existing or potential safety concerns to management
Perform required services on fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, emergency eye wash stations and AEDs according to established safety requirements on-site with our customers
Replenishment of First Aid Kits and PPE vending machines.
Coordinate daily schedules with supervisors and management, working as part of a team
Promptly arrive at facilities prepared to perform the services as scheduled
Prepare and submit all necessary daily paperwork in a timely manner as required
Effectively and efficiently communicate any issues/problems with management
Complete vehicle cleaning and maintenance duties as directed
Perform additional duties that may arise and assigned by management
