Fire & Security Inspector
About The Position
The Fire & Security Inspector is responsible for performing inspections, reviewing inspection forms, and conducting site surveys. This role also involves completing service requests at various locations. The inspector will ensure fire alarm systems function effectively and meet NFPA standards, perform basic sprinkler inspections, and coordinate with local fire departments. Adherence to company safety policies and the ability to develop and complete NFPA testing documents are crucial. The role may require advising customers on test results and performing repairs or informing the Service Department of customer needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test fire alarm systems to ensure that they function effectively and meet NFPA standards.
- Adjust or repair malfunctioning systems.
- Perform basic sprinkler inspection service.
- Schedule fire alarm, fire sprinkler system inspections.
- Run test and inspection on fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems.
- Coordinate with the local fire department to avoid response to testing.
- Develop and complete NFPA testing documents for client.
- Repair system if necessary or inform the Service Department of customer needs.
- Advise customer of test and inspection results.
- Other duties as assigned.
