Fire Science Instructor
About The Position
The Skilled Trades and Technical Sciences Division is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Fire Science Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, a commitment to equity, inclusion, and the use of the classroom experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance. The instructor teaches a full range of fire science coursework with excellence. This position participates collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in the discipline or related discipline.
- Current relevant industry certification.
- 2 years of full-time related occupational experience.
- Passing a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Higher education/community college/high school teaching experience preferred.
