About The Position

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a state-licensed Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector to complete service requests at locations throughout the greater Roanoke area. The inspector tests and inspects fire alarm and sprinkler systems to verify that they function effectively and meet NFPA standards. This is a full-time position with 40 hours weekly available, benefits, and PTO. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, education, licensure, skills, and other relevant factors. Requirements

• State-licensed Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector.
• At least 3 years of experience testing and inspecting commercial fire suppression systems.
• Four or more years of industry experience.
• Fire sprinkler service or inspection experience.
• Fire sprinkler manufacturer certifications.
• Basic skills using an iPad.
• NICET certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and various assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and use a ladder up to 8 feet.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Electrical or low-voltage certification.
• Construction background.

Responsibilities

• Run tests and inspections on fire alarm systems.
• Run tests and inspections on fire sprinkler systems.
• Communicate with the Area Coordinator about completed or rescheduled inspections as requested.
• Meet service calls efficiently and respond quickly to emergencies to support customers.
• Use geographical maps and Google Maps to schedule effectively.
• Answer and manage incoming calls from customers and office staff.
• Maintain thorough and accurate service-call documentation.
• Perform other duties as needed.
