About The Position
The Fire Protection Engineer will provide fire protection and life-safety engineering services for USACE facilities and infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience designing or reviewing fire protection systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
Nice To Haves
- USACE experience preferred.
- Professional Engineer license preferred.
- Federal or military facility experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and review fire suppression and life-safety systems.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and system evaluations.
- Review fire alarm and sprinkler coordination.
- Conduct code reviews and hazard assessments.
- Review submittals and shop drawings.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and acceptance.
