Fire Protection Engineer (Entry Level)
About The Position
Coffman Engineers is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual with an interest in consulting engineering to join their Fire Protection department in the Boise office as an entry-level Fire Protection Engineer. This position will support the team in providing clients with automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and communication system design, code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis, and general fire protection and life safety concepts and research. The Bozeman Fire Protection department has six licensed Fire Protection Engineers and multiple NICET certified designers to provide training and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from accredited college or university
- Civil, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degrees will be considered
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on a high-functioning team
Nice To Haves
- Background working in the Fire Protection or Fire Alarm industry
- Experience with drafting software (REVIT and AutoCAD)
- General building construction knowledge
