Fire Inspector - Fire Marshal's Office - 2 Positions Available

Conducts fire prevention inspections of new and existing construction, written documentation of the inspections, conduct follow-up fire prevention inspections based on reports. Reviews plans to ensure compliance with county and state codes for new construction and progressive inspections. Works with and assists local, state, and federal agencies with fire prevention inspections. Conducts Annual / State Fire Safety Inspections of state licensed facilities. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county mangers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years job related experience
- Strong computer, verbal, and written skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials
- Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize own work and ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadline
- TCFP Inspector, TCFP plans examiner, NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800

Responsibilities
