About The Position
The Inspection Manager shall oversee Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Inspectors for Johnson Controls, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industrial standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of management experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- 3+ years of experience in the fire protection/life safety industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of P&L management and sales activities oversight.
- Proficient in MS Office and online systems; familiarity with Oracle & maintenance scheduling systems is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of fire regulations and codes (e.g., OFC, ULC).
- High School Diploma or equivalent; NICET certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with an aptitude for tact and diplomacy.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Prepared to pass pre-employment background and drug tests and obtain required licenses as per national, state, and local codes.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and support Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Inspectors’ daily activities, recommend hiring and promotions, and provide consistent training to enhance team capabilities.
- Maintain complete understanding of company policies and ensure inspectors align with them, promoting compliance and accountability.
- Foster a culture of customer-centric service excellence by removing operational obstacles and motivating employees to exceed performance targets.
- Collaborate with Inspection Coordinators to streamline scheduling and ensure thorough review of deficiency inspection reports, driving continuous improvement.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among teams and customers, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all operations meet contractual obligations, prepare projections, and consistently aim to maximize the productivity of assigned field personnel.
- Meet with customers and inspectors monthly to strengthen satisfaction and uphold quality standards, fostering trust and collaboration across teams.
