About The Position

The City of Winchester is taking applications for Recruit and Lateral Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic. Written test, an oral interview, medical physical and drug screening will be required of all successful applicants. No résumés will be accepted without completed applications.

Requirements

• Kentucky Paramedic or EMT certification
• High School diploma or GED
• KY Operator's License
• IFSAC Firefighter I & II certifications (for lateral transfer)
• Must have been employed as a fulltime firefighter in a career department for at least four years immediately prior to hire date (for lateral transfer)
• Pass departmental fitness test (for lateral transfer, may be exempt from CPAT testing)
