About the Role Looking to build your career in life safety? Join our team in Edmonton as a Fire Extinguisher Technician, where no two days are the same. Whether you’re experienced or have some hands-on exposure and a willingness to learn, we’ll support you with training and certifications to grow your skills. In this role, you will: Inspect, service, and install fire extinguishers and facility safety equipment (first aid kits, eyewash stations, emergency lighting, etc.) Perform low-pressure hydro testing Support shop operations including filling CO₂ & nitrogen cartridges, dry chemical cylinders, and extinguishers Gain exposure to additional services such as fall protection inspection, gas detection and audiometric calibration, SCBA, and fit testing Represent Levitt-Safety as a trusted partner to our customers, delivering high-quality service onsite

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfortable working in a hands-on role
  • Computer skills and ability to use mobile devices for reporting & safety compliance etc.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
  • A willingness to train and learn
  • Valid driver's license and a clean abstract
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and ongoing drug & alcohol testing and background checks

Nice To Haves

  • Some exposure to fire protection, mechanical work, or safety equipment

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, service, and install fire extinguishers and facility safety equipment (first aid kits, eyewash stations, emergency lighting, etc.)

  • Represent Levitt-Safety as a trusted partner to our customers, delivering high-quality service onsite
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, following safe work practices, and proactively identifying and addressing hazards.
  • Model safe behaviors, collaborate closely with the Quality team to uphold service standards, and contribute to incident prevention and continuous improvement in safety performance.
