About The Position

MES is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician. An HVAC Controls Technician installs, programs, diagnoses, and repairs complex Building Automation Systems, and electrical components to optimize HVAC energy management and comfort. They perform advanced diagnostics, calibrate sensors, and ensure proper communication between HVAC equipment and control systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED is generally required; often requires a degree in HVAC technology, electronics, or related field.
  • Usually requires 2–5 years of experience in HVAC service, specifically with DDC or building controls.
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and network wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with BAS platforms (e.g., JCI, Siemens, Honeywell) and Microsoft Office.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with HVAC and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Often requires a degree in HVAC technology, electronics, or related field.
  • EPA Universal certification, state-specific HVAC licenses, or manufacturer-specific certifications.
