This Fire Alarm Technician position involves inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting, programming, and performing maintenance on fire alarm systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. The Technician will be responsible for providing inspections and service on a variety of fire alarm system devices in a professional and timely manner, meeting weekly service and productivity goals, and working with the Company to obtain local city listing agents. They are also responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized vehicle and ensuring a safe environment.

Requirements

  • Prior Fire Alarm Inspection and Service experience is required.
  • Applicable Fire Alarm Licenses.
  • Ability to learn applicable installation, inspection, and servicing codes.
  • Excellent communications and customer service skills.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
  • MVR checks are required for all driving positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer service business in some capacity.
  • A fire alarm systems background.
  • Ability to provide services across multiple product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, service, troubleshoot, program, and perform maintenance on fire alarm systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Provide inspections and service on a variety of fire alarm system devices in a professional and timely manner.
  • Meet weekly service and productivity goals.
  • Work with the Company to obtain local city listing agents.
  • Manage time to complete the maximum amount of service, inspection, and installation calls while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain applicable state licensing.
  • Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.
  • Maintain their vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized.
  • Ensure a safe environment for his/herself, co-workers and customers.
