About The Position

Impact Fire Services is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join their team. This role involves inspecting, servicing, installing, and performing maintenance on fire alarm systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. The technician will be responsible for providing inspections, installations, and service on a variety of fire alarm system devices professionally and in a timely manner, while also meeting weekly service and productivity goals. The company is a full-service fire protection company with a strong focus on customer service and technical expertise, operating over 52+ district offices across the USA and supporting various industries.

Requirements

  • Must possess a C, L, or E Connecticut Electrical License
  • Applicable licensing and certification required by National, State and Local codes.
  • Prior fire alarm experience in installations, inspections and servicing codes.
  • Excellent communications, and customer service skills.
  • Ability and desire to mentor and pass on knowledge to all levels of trainees.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
  • MVR checks are required for all driving positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable experience either in the fire protection/fire alarm industry or the commercial customer service business in some capacity.
  • A fire alarm systems background or a background working as a licensed electrician.

Responsibilities

  • Provide fire alarm service, inspections and installation calls.
  • Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain applicable state licensing.
  • Inspect, service, install and perform maintenance on fire alarm systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Provide inspections, installations, and service on a variety of fire alarm system devices in a professional and timely manner.
  • Meet weekly service and productivity goals.
