We are seeking skilled Fire Alarm Installers, Technicians, and Foremen to join our team. In this role, you will need to be familiar with the equipment, installation, and commissioning of low voltage systems and have at least journeyman-level installation and troubleshooting experience. Responsibilities include the installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings. Technicians should have the ability to program or be experienced with programming low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV. You will be responsible for the execution of the installation project plan, including equipment delivery, troubleshooting, and commissioning, as well as interfacing with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer expectations. You will resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives. You will also meet with code officials to arrange for building permits, code issues, and to discuss intended wiring and installation methods. Coordination of project activities with other trades at work locations to optimize installation time is essential. You will communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners, and read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. Identifying out-of-scope requests by the contractor or customer and notifying management of pending changes, as well as identifying and assisting with suggested solutions for efficient installation to complete scope, are key. You will assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and effectively communicate project status to management. Completion of all appropriate company paperwork is required.
