About The Position

We are growing a life safety and security integrator headquartered in Memphis, TN, expanding operations into Nashville as its next strategic market. Nashville will be the first market where Progressive is fully supporting Fire Alarm installation and service work locally. This expansion is driven by a large, multi-year contract (5 years) that begins in July, covering fire alarm and security systems. To support this work successfully, Progressive is building a high-caliber Fire Alarm team now, starting with a senior-level technician who can help set the standard in a brand-new market. The senior Fire Alarm Technician / Lead will be a foundational hire for Nashville operations. This individual will play a critical role in launching fire alarm install and service capabilities in the market, supporting major commercial projects, and helping to shape best practices, standards, and future team growth. This is a hands-on role with leadership influence, ideal for someone who wants more ownership, long-term stability, and the opportunity to help build something from the ground up. This role with include a company vehicle so potential candidates must be able to pass MVR.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on commercial Fire Alarm installation and/or service experience
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, local fire codes, and inspection processes
  • Experience installing and servicing common fire alarm devices (smokes, heats, pull stations, horn/strobes, panels, relays, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems independently and lead work in the field
  • Experience bending/running EMT and rigid conduit for fire alarm systems
  • Comfortable working in occupied commercial environments
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Fire Alarm Certification (Level I–III preferred)
  • Experience with major fire alarm platforms (Notifier, Simplex, Fire-Lite, Honeywell, Bosch, Edwards, etc.)
  • Prior experience acting as a lead technician on projects
  • Exposure to security systems (access control, CCTV) is a plus
  • Experience supporting new market launches or growing teams
