The Systems Technician installs new electrical systems and repairs existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes. This role involves programming, commissioning, and starting up Low Voltage systems including Fire Alarm, Security, Access Control, and Surveillance. It also includes the installation and testing of low voltage devices and wiring. The technician will supervise, direct, monitor, train, and work alongside helpers and other technicians, providing instruction on tool operation, safety, and technical principles. They will also contribute to employee evaluations, complete paperwork accurately, and attend foreman meetings. Reliable attendance is expected. The role requires collaboration with the Fire Marshal on project final inspections, effective troubleshooting of installation and programming issues, and facilitating jobsite inspections with customers and the Field Service Manager.
