Elite Fire Services is currently hiring a Technician Apprentice for the Fire Alarm division. This is a great opportunity to learn a growing and in demand trade. We will train you to become a licensed, certified Fire Alarm Technician. We are looking for hard working and hands-on individuals that want to learn a new trade in the fire protection industry. The fire protection industry is in high demand and it can be a long term career that with training, certification and years of quality hard work.

Requirements

A valid driver's license with 3 or less points is required.
Three years of licensed driving experience is required.
Experience using a variety of hand tools.
Willing to work varied hours, nights, early morning and weekend shift when needed.
Capable and willing to learn and study about the different alarm systems in order to pass tests and become certified.
Must be comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.
Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
Ability to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.

Responsibilities

Inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and installation of fire alarms, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, emergency and exit lighting, backflow prevention, and commercial kitchen and hood suppression systems.
Learn and study about the different alarm systems in order to pass tests and become certified.
Communicate well with customers and explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
Write detailed write-ups on service work.
Keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.
