About The Position

Piper Electric, a Crete United Company, is seeking a Fire Alarm Superintendent to support and grow its fire alarm division. This role will have a strong focus on a major plant upgrade project with an expected duration of 2+ years. The position is ideal for an experienced Superintendent in fire alarm systems looking for long-term, stable project work with the opportunity to lead field execution from early phases through completion. The company is also open to considering a top-performing Foreman ready to take the next step.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in fire alarm installation on commercial or industrial projects.
Current Colorado Journeyman Electrician License required.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and fire alarm system installation practices.
Exposure to system programming, testing, and commissioning.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and submittals.
Experience working in industrial or plant environments is a strong plus.
Strong communication and coordination skills across field teams and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead field execution of fire alarm system installations on a large-scale plant upgrade project.
Supervise crews installing conduit, wiring, devices, panels, and networked systems in an active industrial environment.
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades to maintain schedule and jobsite flow.
Review drawings, submittments, and layouts to ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NEC, and all applicable state and local (AHJ) requirements, including coordination with fire inspectors and jurisdictional authorities.
Manage manpower planning, material coordination, and jobsite logistics across multiple phases of the project.
Support system programming, testing, and final commissioning in coordination with inspectors and AHJs.
Maintain strong leadership on-site with a focus on safety, quality, and accountability in a live plant setting.
Assist in mentoring and developing field technicians and junior leaders.
