This role involves performing maintenance and service of fire alarm systems independently, diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, and completing standard service calls without direct supervision. The technician will interpret system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals, use hand tools and testing equipment, and ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and company policies. Accurate completion of service reports, documentation, and inspection records is essential, as is effective communication with customers, team members, and supervisors. The role also includes identifying potential system deficiencies, recommending corrective actions, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, providing guidance to entry-level technicians, and traveling to job sites as required. Work will be performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician.
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • If Driving Role: Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Level I or above preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
