About The Position

This role involves performing fire alarm and security system installations, programming, commissioning, inspections, and troubleshooting. The compensation and expectations vary based on experience level, ranging from entry-level technicians with 1-3 years of experience to Master Technicians with 10+ years of experience. Responsibilities include performing annual inspections, troubleshooting ground faults, shorts, and opens, installing devices and panels, programming systems, assisting with permitting and customer training, and developing autonomous roles for system reliability. Senior level technicians will also engage in FD interactions, construction meetings, and fire alarm design assistance, while advanced technicians will train new personnel and ensure adherence to NFPA standards.

Requirements

1-3 Years experience with Fire Alarms & Security.
Familiar with troubleshooting service conditions, ground faults, shorts, and opens.
3-5 Years experience with Fire Alarms & Security.
Product certified on 2 major fire alarm systems.
Service must be able to troubleshoot Gnd Faults, Shorts, and Opens, and clear moderate complexities with support.
5-7 Years experience with Fire Alarms & Security.
Service must be able to diagnose, work through, and more complex calls by being proactive.
7-10 Years experience with Fire Alarms & Security.
10+ Years experience with Fire Alarms and security.

Master Technician/AutoCAD/Designer/Sales Engineering.

Responsibilities

Perform complete fire alarm annual inspections utilizing industry tools.
Perform complete system installations (Devices and Panels), programming, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot service conditions, ground faults, shorts, and opens.
Clear moderate to advanced complexities with minimal support.
Assist in permitting, inspections, and customer training turnover.
Program systems for simple additional work via computer or panel keypad.
Utilize resources like operations manuals, install manuals, and technical support.
Perform new system installations with additional sequencing like elevator recall, door release, AHU shutdown, and program.
Develop autonomous roles being a self-starter and motivated to ensure system reliability.
Diagnose, work through, and handle more complex calls by being proactive.
Engage in FD interactions, construction meetings, and fire alarm design assistance.
Train new technicians and ensure adherence to ALL NFPA standards.
Act as a self-starter needing no technical assistance.
Perform AutoCAD and design tasks.
Engage in sales engineering.
