About The Position

National Network Services is seeking a Fire Alarm / Security Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm and security systems. This role involves working with cutting-edge technology to design, install, and maintain systems that protect against fire hazards and unauthorized access, ensuring the safety and security of individuals and properties. The company is an industry leader in the installation and support of Structured Cabling, Physical Security, Audio Visual and DC power systems, and joined Ascension Property Services in 2020. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Fire Alarm and Security or a related field.
Knowledge of fire NFPA and NEC codes, security protocols, and industry standards.
Proficient in reading blueprints and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Selected candidate will be required to submit to full pre-employment background and drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

Additional technical certifications preferred.
NICET Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install and program fire alarm and security systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure systems are operating at optimal levels.
Troubleshoot and repair any technical issues or malfunctions promptly.
Collaborate with clients and team members to design customized fire alarm and security solutions tailored to the specific needs of each location.
Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan the placement and wiring of systems.
Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to ensure they meet safety and security standards.
Verify that all components, including sensors, alarms, and communication systems, are functioning correctly.
Stay up to date with relevant industry codes, regulations, and standards.
Document all installation, maintenance, and testing activities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Communicate with clients to understand their safety and security needs.
Provide training to end-users on the proper use and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems.
Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
Collaborate with emergency services personnel as needed.
