About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Project Manager - Data Center in Lithia Springs, Georgia. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fire alarm scope across multiple mission-critical projects, including planning, submittals, procurement, installation, testing, and turnover. The Project Manager will ensure compliance with applicable codes, project schedules, and safety standards, serving as the primary point of contact for all fire alarm-related executions. This position requires travel to project sites and extended time working in the field. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship, as this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience fire alarm project management on mission critical electrical projects
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems including Fire Alarm, DAS, Access Control, and Building Management Systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of fire alarm installation including submittals, material procurement, installation oversight, coordination with testing agencies, and final turnover
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrical schematics, and code references including NFPA 70, NFPA 72, and NFPA 101
  • Experience coordinating with local inspectors and Authorities having jurisdiction
  • Proficient in construction documentation and scheduling tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, execution, and management of fire alarm system installations for mission critical projects across the U.S.
  • Coordinates with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and authorities to ensure compliance with design specifications, code requirements, and schedule expectations
  • Manages the fire alarm scope from preconstruction through final commissioning
  • Interfaces regularly with the Project Management Team to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project goals
  • Ensures all work is performed in accordance with NFPA standards, local AHJ requirements, and IES Safety policies
