About The Position

As the Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Lead, you will perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire alarms systems and suppression equipment, such as wet sprinklers and kitchen extinguishing systems. The purpose of this position is to inspect, service, maintain, and repair fire alarm and suppression systems, identify hazards and defects, and ensure work complies with relevant codes. You will also develop and implement procedures to prevent defective services from recurring. Requirements

  • NICET Certified Level III – Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Fire Protection/Life Safety Industry including: Experience in Fire Alarm & Suppression Field as Journeyman and/or Foreman.
  • Extensive knowledge of various types of Sprinkler Systems (wet, kitchen extinguishing, etc.).
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • High level of knowledge & application of the National Fire Alarm Code and pertinent UFC codes.
  • Must be thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and as a team member on all aspects of fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain NICET Level II certification for Fire Alarm systems, Special Hazard systems and Inspection/Testing of Water Based Systems.
  • Maintain NICET Level III certification for either Fire Alarms or Special Hazard systems.
  • Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering is highly desired.
  • Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred).
