Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of fire alarm industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • NICET Fire Alarm Systems Certification (Level II, III, or IV)
  • Hold the appropriate local/state license by jurisdiction.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Electrical Technology, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Fire Alarm Department.
  • Oversee installation, service, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to contract requirements.
  • Monitor departmental workload and allocate resources effectively.
  • Develop and improve department processes to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure technicians have the tools, equipment, and materials needed to perform their work.
  • Supervise Service Technicians, Inspectors, and Installers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, local fire codes, and company policies
  • Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive team culture.
  • Address performance concerns through coaching and corrective action when necessary.
  • Participate in customer meetings and project reviews.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout all phases of service and project execution.
  • Review job costing, labor utilization, and project profitability.
  • Monitor department revenue, margins, and key performance indicators
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Sales, and Operations to prioritize work.
  • Support a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices and addressing safety concerns professionally.
