The Security Service Support Technician is an entry-level role responsible for assisting with the installation, service, inspection, and maintenance of security and low-voltage systems including intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance (CCTV). This role supports senior technicians and field teams while learning company standards, safety procedures, system functionality, and customer service expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Fire/Security Service Technician or equivalent in industry.
  • Experience with Honeywell, Vista, Silent Knight, and Firelite required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows
  • Ability to work independently on customer site
  • Must be able to work safely with voltage
  • Must be able to use electronic testing equipment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Edwards/ EST knowledge a plus.
  • Growing knowledge of industry standards NFPA, NEC, IBC, Life Safety Codes and UL

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians with service, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
  • Support installation and testing of new and existing security system components
  • Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
  • Help perform system inspections and basic functional testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, materials used, and job site conditions.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, customer site requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and proper working condition.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Required to maintain company vehicle.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
