At Solucient Security, fire alarm work is more than installing devices and completing inspections. It is life-safety work-and the quality of that work matters. We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Installation & Service Technician who takes pride in doing things right, understands the responsibility that comes with life-safety systems, and wants to be part of a team committed to technical excellence and an exceptional client experience. This is a full-time, field-based position within our Install and Service Operations team.

Requirements

• NICET 1 or 2 certification in Fire Alarm Systems is required at time of hire.
• Hands-on commercial fire alarm installation and service experience.
• Experience with programming, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Working knowledge of applicable fire alarm codes and standards, including NFPA 72.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional client communication and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to maintain required licenses, certifications, and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial fire alarm and life-safety systems and support other electronic security installation and service work in other low-voltage security solutions when needed.
• Perform commissioning, system verification, and required inspections.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Diagnose system issues, identify root causes, and determine appropriate corrective action.
• Perform work in accordance with applicable codes, NFPA standards, manufacturer specifications, AHJ requirements, and Solucient standards.
• Accurately document work performed, testing results, deficiencies, programming changes, and materials.
• Communicate proactively with clients and teammates about progress, issues, and next steps.
• Train clients on system operation and provide professional technical support.
• Maintain Company tools, equipment, vehicles, and other resources.
