About The Position

We are seeking motivated licensed fire alarm technicians with a solid work ethic to join the HOTTEST Fire Alarm Company in Texas. This is a DirectHire position for experienced Fire Alarm Service Technicians, Fire Alarm Service & Maintenance Techs, and Suppression Service and Inspection Technicians. Qualified individuals must have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in service, installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and programming of various manufacturers’ Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and other low voltage systems. Technicians will be required to communicate with internal staff as well as external customers in a respectful and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in service, installation, inspection, troubleshooting and programming of various manufacturers’ Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and other low voltage systems.
  • State certified Fire Alarm License (Texas FAL).
  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Work history must contain minimum five years’ experience in fire alarm industry.
  • Must be highly competent with a computer, knowledge of RS232, RS485, Ethernet, TCP/IP protocols, and be able comprehend software programs for the required systems.
  • Must be able to pass a background check for an Alarm Agent License or have a current Alarm Agent License.
  • Drug and physical test are required.
  • Must have a clean driving record and meet company minimum driving standards.

Nice To Haves

  • State certified Fire Extinguisher License (Texas FEL-B) preferred.
  • NICET Certification and Journeyman electrician’s license is a plus.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Possession of system certifications from various manufacturers a plus.
  • Kitchen hood system experience and licensing.
  • Proficient with conduit (i.e., installation and bending).
  • Experience with multiple fire alarm panel manufacturers (i.e. Simplex, Siemens, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and participate in all company quality, safety standards and regulations.
  • Present a positive demeanor to the customer and company employees.
  • Provide exceptional workmanship at all levels (organization, detail, neatness and quality).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittits, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Utilize a laptop to manage programming and system documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and use of test equipment to include: multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meter, decibel meters, and communicating devices.
  • Process all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a neat and clean service vehicle.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
