Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines. This role involves testing and inspecting fire alarm systems for both existing and new customers. The inspector will maintain proper documentation for work performed, work with low voltage wiring and associated devices, and complete service acknowledgements. A highly structured inspection schedule must be followed, and inspection documents must be input, retrieved, and archived via mobile device. Minor repairs and programming changes to systems may also be required. Adherence to company safety policies and procedures is mandatory. The role requires carrying/moving equipment up to 70lbs, performing work in unusual and difficult positions (e.g., climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment), and the ability to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs. Maintaining a clean and safe work area is also essential.
