Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in low voltage electrical systems or an equivalent industry.
  • NICET Level II within two years of start date (non-negotiable).
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting and performing necessary repairs.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, verbal, time-management, and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly, have a positive attitude, and the will to go beyond the call of service.
  • Highly detail-oriented, safety-focused, self-starter who can work with little supervision with the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines at times.
  • Commitment to following all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meet company requirements.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Capacity to work in environments that require ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and crawl spaces.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends; willingness to travel out of town with overnight lodging, as needed.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • Experience reading/interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and manuals.
  • Willingness to take ownership of your career through ongoing training and collaboration with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Test and verify fire alarm system panels, components, and monitoring interfaces to ensure proper operation and supervision.
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems and life-safety interfaces, including sprinkler and suppression systems while documenting outcomes and recommendations.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA 72 and local codes, uphold safety standards, and maintain accurate field records.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
