About The Position
Responsible for assisting fire alarm technicians with the installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems. This entry-level role provides hands-on training and exposure to fire alarm systems while supporting safe, efficient, and code-compliant work in the field.
Requirements
- High school diploma and prior construction or electrical experience a plus but not required; basic mechanical or electrical aptitude preferred; ability to obtain required licenses or certifications (as applicable).
- Microsoft, word and basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with installation of fire alarm devices, wiring, conduit, and equipment.
- Support testing and inspection of fire alarm systems under supervision.
- Help identify and document deficiencies or issues discovered during service or inspections.
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards.
- Follow project instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.
- Assist with system troubleshooting as skills develop.
- Participate in required safety meetings and training.
