The Alarm & Suppression Estimator will be responsible for estimating and preparing proposals for fire alarm & suppression systems. This role involves performing bid layouts, completing material takeoffs, obtaining vendor pricing, and writing quotes. The estimator will also perform basic calculations, code research, and interpret code requirements pertaining to job specifications. Collaboration with sales, operations, and design staff is essential to interpret project specifications and produce timely and accurate estimates according to fixed bid dates/schedules. The position requires producing status reports, participating in planning meetings, and maintaining accurate entries into operating systems.
