About The Position

The FIP Inspector is responsible for performing comprehensive visual and functional inspections of vehicles, identifying and documenting any defects, damages, or imperfections. This role involves entering data into the JLR system, facilitating the installation of guides and manuals according to CPO standards, and releasing vehicles for further service. The inspector must ensure a safe working environment, adhere to all safety policies, and be prepared for potential overtime or weekend work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid US Driver’s License
• Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
• Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of vehicles; walk around vehicle to inspect for defects, damages, and imperfections.
• Notate any issues on VCR/CPO and enter data into the JLR system when it becomes available.
• Inspect functional operations; doors, window locks, seatbelts, steering, compartments, seat covers, emergency releases, keys, etc.
• Facilitate installments; guides, manuals, warnings, floormats, etc. adhering to CPO.
• Release vehicles for further service and/or work as needed.
• Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
