About The Position

The FIP Inspector will perform visual inspections of vehicles, checking for defects, damages, and imperfections. This role involves inspecting functional operations of various vehicle components and facilitating the installation of guides, manuals, warnings, and floormats according to CPO standards. The inspector will also release vehicles for further service, ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles, and maintain a safe working environment. This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid US Driver’s License
• Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
• Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of vehicles; walk around vehicle to inspect for defects, damages, and imperfections.
• Notate any issues on VCR/CPO and enter data into the JLR system when it becomes available.
• Inspect functional operations; doors, window locks, seatbelts, steering, compartments, seat covers, emergency releases, keys, etc.
• Facilitate installments; guides, manuals, warnings, floormats, etc. adhering to CPO.
• Release vehicles for further service and/or work as needed.
• Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
