About The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Fintech Compliance Officer role in the Chicago, IL area. The position is responsible for ensuring that our bank operates in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance to the business units. The opportunity has a generous salary of up to $150K plus generous incentives and a benefits package. This is not a remote position.

Requirements

Strong working knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
Experience across multiple compliance disciplines, including but not limited to: CRA, BSA, Retail and Deposit Regulations, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg O, Fair Lending, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, HMDA, FHA, Flood Disaster Protection Act and USA PATRIOT Act
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, law, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of compliance experience within the banking industry
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams

Responsibilities

Preparing clear, concise compliance reports for senior management and regulatory agencies
Developing, implementing, and maintaining the bank’s enterprise‑wide compliance programs
Monitoring regulatory developments and ensuring the timely implementation of new or revised requirements
Providing practical guidance and training to business partners across the organization
Conducting risk assessments, compliance testing, and audits to proactively identify and mitigate risk
Investigating, documenting, and resolving compliance issues and customer complaints
Serving as a trusted compliance resource across all functional areas of the bank
