About The Position

Vitesse Systems is looking for a Finishing Technician I to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! The Finishing Technician I will be an impactful member of our Assembly & Finishing team, accountable for critical painting, assembly, and finishing functions on flight-bound products. This role calls for an eye for precision and quality mindedness. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, including complex GD&T callouts.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and process-based Work Instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team and independently as needed to support the group effort.
  • Able to utilize hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Basic reading, writing, computer skills such as log on, data entry, and retrieval.
  • Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency to comply with ITAR requirements.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen per Vitesse’s drug testing policy.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check per Vitesse’s policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with precision assembly highly desired.
  • Experience finishing, deburring, and/or painting aerospace components highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Conduct precision preparation and finishing of passive RF antenna components and feeds, ensuring adherence to Industry Standards and internal Work Instructions for impeccable quality.
  • Prepare and apply paint coatings.
  • Execute sandblasting and assembly tasks.
  • Assemble components per blueprint drawings.
  • Perform assembler service repairs and in-process inspections, maintaining rigorous quality control.
  • Regularly maintain and clean paint room equipment, guaranteeing an optimal working environment.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and maintenance on machines and tools to uphold operational excellence.
  • Inspect assembled components for the correct application of prime and finish coats, ensuring flawless finishes.
  • Proficiently operate computer systems to maintain labor and shop order records accurately.
  • Utilize various hand tools, including power and manual tools, along with precision measuring equipment such as gauges and indicators.
  • Execute soldering tasks with precision when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
