Finishing Technician I
About The Position
Perform a variety of tasks in the finishing process of the blade. This involves grinding blades to work instruction specifications, grinding between quality marks, applying gelcoat to designated locations, and matting to give blades a clean finish. The role also includes painting and sanding, applying tape to the edge of blades to avoid overspray of gel coat, and applying auto mask to the shell of the blade. Additionally, the technician will apply filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade, scrape off excess to fill voids, and turn the blade utilizing a machine. The position requires wearing designated personal protective equipment, following all health and safety guidelines, and maintaining 5s standards.
Requirements
- Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
- Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
- Requires usage of respirator.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma/GED or related experience.
- Previous Manufacturing experience.
