Wisenbaker is seeking an experienced Finishing Superintendent to lead their finishing department. This role involves overseeing the entire finishing process, ensuring high standards and meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will drive improvements, lead teams, and ensure quality work. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in finishing or production management within cabinetry or woodworking manufacturing.
Strong technical knowledge of finishing techniques, materials, and equipment.
Proficiency with spray equipment (HVLP or airless systems).
Knowledge of wood finishing techniques (staining, sealing, lacquering).
Familiarity with paint mixing and color matching.
Experience working with water-based and solvent-based finishes.
Knowledge of cabinet materials (wood, MDF, veneers).
Data-driven approach with experience in using KPIs to enhance performance.
Problem-solving expertise with a focus on root cause analysis and effective solution implementation.
Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software is highly advantageous.
Working knowledge of ERP systems and production management software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Manage and coach a team of skilled technicians and mentor them to achieve consistent, top-tier finishes.
Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and maintain the highest level of quality.
Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and implement strategies that drive productivity and profitability.
Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure everything is in line with production goals.
Lead efforts to implement new technologies and finishing techniques that will elevate the company’s capabilities and product offerings.
Supervise and mentor a team of finishing technicians and specialists to achieve consistent, top-tier finishes across all cabinetry products.
Monitor daily operations within the finishing department to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are maintained.
Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce downtime, enhance throughput, and improve finish consistency.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate department performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate closely with production planning, quality assurance, maintenance, and other departments to ensure alignment with overall production goals.
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and ensure production milestones are met.
Lead the adoption and implementation of new finishing technologies, techniques, and materials that enhance capabilities and product offerings.
Ensure the proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of finishing equipment, including HVLP and airless spray systems.
Oversee material usage, inventory control, and waste reduction within the finishing area.
