About The Position

This role involves working on the tile press, inspecting, catching, and stacking tile. It also includes lifting and stacking tile boxes, working on the inspection table, wrapping rolls of carpet, and inspecting carpet. The position requires maintaining a clean work area and performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Requirements

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other company associates.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Basic personal computer skills.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach /handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive objects and materials' attributes.

Responsibilities

Work on the tile press.
Inspect tile, catch, and stack tile.
Lift boxes with tile and stack tile boxes.
Work on the Inspection table.
Wrap rolls of carpet.
Inspect carpet.
Label boxes.
Housekeeping.
Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor and Human Resources.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
