About The Position

The individual will be responsible for the operation of the process system at Crisco manufacturing plant. This system consists of several independent sub-systems that run in conjunction with one another to provide oil to packing lines for finished product.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to consistently communicate with all operators
Familiarity or ability to gain knowledge of: Risk Predictions, PPE requirements, Chemical awareness, Valves, Tanks, Mixing, Vacuum Pumps, 150# steam, Filters /Cartridges

Responsibilities

Updating Downtime Tracking Sheets
Ability to trace lines for Nitrogen and Water Systems
Knowledge of reading gauges
Understanding of Manufacturing Standards
Ability to trace lines for systems pertaining to Oil, Nitrogen and Water including all the critical parameters
Must have strong computer skills for entering and charting data
Ability to troubleshoot
Lab related duties including Hunter Color, Beta Carotene, Brine PH and specific gravity, and fume hoods
Mechanically related understanding of Confined Space, Gearbox replacement, troubleshooting techniques, rebuilding agitator and seals and/ or agitation packing and reinstalling
Understanding the differences between Centrifugal Pumps and Positive Displacement Pumps
Routine Maintenance skills
Electrically Related Understandings: Know and Understand Electrical Instrumentation, Understand a process loop (P&ID Loop)
Strong Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and JD Edwards
Initiative and Follow Through: History of recognizing a problem (defects, loss areas), recommending a solution, History of effort and follow-through to deliver business results
Priority Setting: Examples of settings priorities under pressure to meet deadlines and schedules
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team setting
