About The Position

The individual will be responsible for the operation of the process system at Crisco manufacturing plant. This system consists of several independent sub-systems that run in conjunction with one another to provide oil to packing lines for finished product.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to consistently communicate with all operators
• Knowledge of reading gauges
• Understanding of Manufacturing Standards
• Must have strong computer skills for entering and charting data
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Electrically Related Understandings: Know and Understand Electrical Instrumentation, Understand a process loop (P&ID Loop)
• Strong Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and JD Edwards
• Initiative and Follow Through: History of recognizing a problem (defects, loss areas), recommending a solution, History of effort and follow-through to deliver business results
• Priority Setting: Examples of settings priorities under pressure to meet deadlines and schedules
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team setting

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity or ability to gain knowledge of: Risk Predictions, PPE requirements, Chemical awareness, Valves, Tanks, Mixing, Vacuum Pumps, 150# steam, Filters /Cartridges
• Mechanically related understanding of Confined Space, Gearbox replacement, troubleshooting techniques, rebuilding agitator and seals and/ or agitation packing and reinstalling
• Understanding the differences between Centrifugal Pumps and Positive Displacement Pumps

Responsibilities

• Updating Downtime Tracking Sheets
• Tracing lines for Nitrogen and Water Systems
• Reading gauges
• Understanding Manufacturing Standards
• Tracing lines for systems pertaining to Oil, Nitrogen and Water including all the critical parameters
• Entering and charting data
• Troubleshooting
• Lab related duties including Hunter Color, Beta Carotene, Brine PH and specific gravity, and fume hoods
• Routine Maintenance skills
