Position Overview Finishing Operator fills batteries with acid to the proper level, and correctly apply caps on the batteries according to battery type. Formation Operator will perform visual inspections for proper acid levels and cosmetic defects.

Requirements

High School Diploma or greater.
2-3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history.
Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Must be clean shaven.

Nice To Haves

Capable of working in extreme temperatures and heavy environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Fills batteries with acid to the proper level.
Correctly applies caps on the batteries according to battery type.
Performs visual inspections for proper acid levels and cosmetic defects.
On/Off Bear batteries from production line.
Understands and practices the Quality policy.
Uses hand tools and learns specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
Works in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant.
Capable of working in extreme temperatures and heavy environment is a plus.
Strong team skills.
Solves problems and recommends solutions.
All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
Lifts 50-80 lbs. and stands for long periods of time.
Removes caps and performs visual check to ensure that batteries are facing correctly when transmitting through the conveyor.
Correctly applies proper vent caps, ensuring a tight seal, and applies labels to batteries.
