About The Position

The Finishing Inspector works in the Finishing Department on the second shift, Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The role involves setting up a RotoControl machine and inspecting labels as they come off the press for quality defects. The inspector also cuts the web to create taped splices.

Requirements

• Good mechanical skills.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use, read, and interpret scientific measurement and inspection tools and devices.
• Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus; visual acuity correctable to Snellen 20/20 is required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Good attendance record.
• Ability to maintain the highest safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• Prior similar printing experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up the RotoControl machine with blades and nip rollers.
• Review and inspect labels as they come off the press for quality defects while working under a strobe light.
• Use box cutters and scissors to cut the web and make splices with tape.
