About The Position

Buck Company LLC is seeking a Finishing Associate to support the quality assurance process at its Quarryville, Pennsylvania foundry. The role is the final step in preparing metal castings for customers. The company provides training and development to help employees build skills for a manufacturing career. The posted schedule is 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand for long periods in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment.
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team-based production environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to understand instructions and accept coaching and mentoring.
• Ability to adhere to and perform job functions consistent with the company’s safety policy.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of casting defects.
• Previous experience or knowledge related to industrial finishing.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial grinding devices to remove excess metal, including parting lines and rough edges, from castings.
• Use gate-breakers and hammers to prepare and separate castings.
• Inspect finished parts and sort castings by type and quality standards.
• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality protocols.
• Participate in cross-training to broaden skills and contribute across the production floor.
