About The Position

The Finishing Assistant is responsible for ensuring that manufactured items are ready for shipment by placing them into containers, sealing and labelling the items, and preparing the item for transport. The Finishing Assistant is also responsible for examining and inspecting containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met. All employees must follow all Interpress Technologies’ safety procedures, food safety procedures and policies including wearing personal protective equipment. This is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on training and a pathway for professional growth. Employees are expected to actively participate in training, build job knowledge and technical skills, and demonstrate readiness for advancement into higher-level positions with increased responsibility and pay as opportunities become available. Advancement is based on successful completion of training, demonstrated performance, and business needs.

Requirements

Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
Able to follow directions.
Must maintain good attendance.
Able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

Boxing and palletizing product.
Inspecting printing products for gross color variations.
Able to work for prolonged periods of time in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Able to wear required Personal Protective equipment when entering manufacturing and raw material specified areas.
Report issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.
Pack up completed products and prepare them for shipment.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Follow all GMP and safety procedures.
Must keep work area clean of debris.
Understand HACCP Plan Monitoring preventive measures.
Personnel Hygiene Sampling and test methods
Ensure products meet quality and customer standards.
Ensure working area is clean throughout the day and at the end of the shift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
